Joe Winslow is a former Marine Corps Major who deployed to Iraqi combat zones with infantry assault units to identify battle artifacts and significant combat events for the Marine Corps Museum and History Division. During combat operations his mission was to accompany the men who closed with the enemy, to witness their efforts while under fire, and gather what turned into hundreds of private/personal oral histories and battle artifacts.
He has written extensively for official USMC History publications, contributed to official accounts of the war, and conducted an east-coast speaking tour regarding the Operation Phantom Fury. He now works with Game Designers/Producers, AR/VR/Sim developers, National Museums, and other world class organizations across the United States helping them deliver ultra high-fidelity environments and exhibits.
